As part of the Year of Vocational Professions,
the material and technical base of nine vocational education institutions will
be upgraded in the Atyrau region. Additionally, dormitories accommodating 750 students
will be built to create a comfortable environment for students. Notably, around
2,000 students in the region are studying technical specialties, with nearly
half of them already gaining hands-on experience through the dual education
system. Nurdaulet Zhanabaiuly has been honing his professional skills in the
oil and gas industry for over a year.
«I chose this profession based on my parents’
advice and because my older brother also studied in this field. To be honest,
at first, I had no interest in the specialty. However, after visiting the
production site and seeing the entire process with my own eyes, I became interested.
Now, I have no regrets and I am even glad that I chose such an interesting and
promising profession,» shared student Nurdaulet Zhanabaiuly.
In the Atyrau region, the number of grants
allocated for vocational training increases every year. There are over 4,500
grants this year. Currently, 24 vocational education institutions operate in
the region, with half of them offering training in technical specialties.
«We also want to open a large hub where
students can gain additional knowledge, implement projects, and exchange ideas.
The Education Department supports our initiatives,» noted Marzhan Lapidenova,
Deputy Director of the Atyrau Agrarian and Technical College.
