The first streaming service for children and teenagers called “ÖZINŞE” launched in Kazakhstan. The content of the new online platform consists of cartoons and other educational information in Kazakh language. The platform is completely free. The application can be downloaded for Android and IOS devices. According to the project authors, the growing popularity of domestic animation prompted them to create such a streaming service. They plan to introduce foreign content onto the virtual platform in the future.
“The streaming service currently has about 3,400 minutes of content uploaded. And it will only increase. There are plenty of animated films in Kazakhstan. The neighboring countries often acquire them. Currently, our specialists are working with China, Russia and Turkey,” said Askar Umarov, the Kazakh Minister of Information and Social Development.
