Until 2023, women’s combat sambo had no official status. But the moment the doors to this demanding discipline opened, Kuralay Kabyraykyzy was the first to step through, or rather, she kicked them wide open. This seemingly fragile girl from Uralsk became the champion at the very first national combat sambo championship. Then she won it again.
