The application process for the
Umai-2023 National Award has commenced in Kazakhstan. It will include four main
nominations, namely Theatrical Art, Choreographic Art, Musical and Performing
Arts, as well as Fine and Decorative and Applied Art. The competition is open
for both professional creative teams and individual artists. This year, the
number of prizes has been increased to 29, with a total prize fund of 79
million tenge. Nominees may include theater and concert season productions from
September 2021 to July 2023. Artists and masters of decorative and applied art can
submit works created no earlier than 2021. The application period will close on
December 5.
