The heroine of our TV project, Minkyoung Shin, visits the art museum, where she discovers the works of the founder of Kazakh visual arts, Abylkhan Kasteev. From the story of the guide, she learns a lot of interesting things about the youth of the self-taught artist. Abylkhan Kasteev's painting is a colorful chronicle of the 20th century. Disenfranchised peasants, rise of Soviet power, constructions of the first five-year plans, and achievements of socialism are reflected in the paintings of the first Kazakh artist. Minkyoung also learns about the ancient traditions of carpet weaving and the symbolism of Kazakh women's jewelry.
