This project focuses on preserving Almaty’s cultural heritage and highlighting its role in Kazakhstan’s history. It will feature nationally significant historical and cultural monuments — buildings that exemplify outstanding architectural artistry and have maintained their unique historical character. These include palaces and homes that have been central to the country’s political, spiritual, and scientific development, as well as cultural and creative sites closely connected to the pioneering architects and experts who shaped the city’s architectural foundation. Audiences will be taken through the evolution of these landmarks, uncovering fresh details about each structure, captivating stories about the people associated with them, and an overview of current trends in urban development and restoration. The project will emphasize the distinctive architectural styles from various historical eras, important cultural sites and monuments, and the restoration efforts led by prominent architects and heritage preservation specialists. An overview of 14 historically important buildings in Almaty will be presented, highlighting their architectural features, historical significance, and present-day status. The entire presentation lasts 15 minutes.
